The Plantation at Leesburg

Welcome to

River Crest

Life at River Crest

277+ Homes | Opened in 2005

Your village, your neighbors, working together to make this the best place we have ever lived. River Crest is a warm and welcoming community.  Like the other communities in the Plantation at Leesburg, with plenty of activities, clubs and events to satisfy everyone.

River Crest was the first village developed in 1995 after completion of the Plantation Boulevard bridge over the Palatlakaha River. The first residents moved here in July 1996.

River Crest 1 was not completely sold out when phase 2 opened in 1998. At the largest village completion in 2005, there were 277 homes. River Crest is the largest village in the Plantation. It extends nearly two miles from the northern to the southern boundary. At the south end is a Scrub Jay and Gopher Tortoise reserve area with a walking trail. The north end is Manor Oaks, the resident-only West Gate.

A Board Member welcomes all new residents with relevant information and a gift certificate to a local restaurant. To ensure they receive a welcome gift, all new residents should email their name and address to rivercrestbd@gmail.com.

We have at least three village-wide social events: a pancake breakfast in spring, a fall pizza party, and a December holiday party. In 1998 an early resident initiated a Tuesday men’s golf outing which continues today. Contact Doug Sabel if interested in Tuesday Golf, dwsabel@gmail.com or call 765-490-1056. Small street-based groups enjoy lunch outings, shopping trips, and card parties. To keep up with River Crest Events, look for inserts in your Plantation Times and Email Blasts.

We have an annual dues of $5 per household help fund the new resident welcome gift card and sympathy donations. The dues also offset the cost of decorations for the River Crest Entrance and some village events.

A Board of 11 Directors coordinates the village’s social activities and events. We are always looking for new members who would like to work to make our village a great place to live. Contact any Board Member for more information.
